The Shuswap Hospice Society is here for you and your loved ones. Each experience is unique.

Our vision is to be a trusted partner in providing compassionate, supportive care for individuals, their loved ones, and caregivers experiencing life-altering transitions.

Our mission is to lead through advocacy, compassionate care, and support for individuals and families in the North Okanagan / Shuswap who are facing life-limiting illness, end of life, and grief.

We are committed to walking beside you as you navigate the challenging journeys that end of life brings.

We help people work through end-of-life challenges by offering a variety of programs and services that includes support groups, one-to-one support, energy therapies and companioning. All services are free to Shuswap residents and are provided by trained, compassionate volunteers.

Grief Walking Group:

Informal, drop-in grief support and companionship while walking.

  • When: Friday Mornings, 9:30am

Bereaved Parents Support Group:

A drop-in peer support group for those grieving the loss of a child.

  • When: July 2, 16 & 30 from 4-6pm

Grief Yoga:

  • When: July 19 & August 23 from 6:30-8pm at Sweet Freedom Yoga.

One on One Support:

Clients can meet one-to-one with a grief support person to receive guidance in developing coping skills to handle their grief and in time learn to live as fully as possible without their loved one.
